Student Publications

Within the Office of Student Publications, students immerse themselves in experiential learning from day one.

Student Publications is exactly as the name suggests – a student operation. We employ nearly 60 students each semester to work in sales, photography, graphic design, news editing, reporting and circulation positions. Students shoulder the responsibility of conducting general operations of our publications.

Our flagship publication – The Indiana Statesman student newspaper – has been in existence since 1879. It provides the campus community with its number one source for news, sports coverage and commentary and public opinion. The newspaper is published three days a week during the fall and spring semesters and twice during the summer. Between 4,000 and 6,000 copies are distributed.
