Major league baseball (MLB) began their season Thursday, April 1. This will be a full season with 162 games. Baseball is back in full swing, and even full capacity stadiums are here. The Texas Rangers hosted their first home game this past weekend. The Rangers had a full capacity sold-out game, and roughly 30,000+ fans packed the stadium. The Rangers are located in Texas where there are currently no regulations for Covid-19. The season kicked off with a big start, as we saw Francisco Lindor get a 10-year $341 million contract extension. The contract guarantees Lindor will be a NY Met for the next decade. ESPN covered this and laid out what his contract means, stating, “The deal starts in 2022, tacking it onto the $22.3 million he'll make this season. Lindor has no opt-out clauses. He has a 15-team no-trade clause until 2026 when his 10-and-5 rights will kick in and give him full no-trade protection.”

The world of baseball making predictions for the future World Series Champion on Thursday.  Many of the pros and big names of baseball called on the Yankees to grab another AL title, and the Dodgers to repeat and win the NL.

It seems like an every year occurrence for the Yankees to get the call of being the best in the American League. Many MLB fans are calling the bluff on the Dodgers as well, though many say the San Diego Padres, the offseason free agency/trade winner, are to run through the Dodgers.

The conversations don’t end there; they are already talking MVP as well, with the biggest names being Mike Trout for the AL MVP & Juan Soto for the NL MVP.

The MLB season is destined to be a great season, as we will finally be getting back to normalcy in the world of baseball. My take on all the champions is that we are going to see Rays as AL champions and the Padres as NL champions.

As for the World Series champion, I feel the underdog Rays will come out on top for their first Major League World Series title. As we know, the season is only starting, so as it continues teams will be mixing all around and showing more and more who the top dogs are.
