The Salvation Army of Terre Haute is looking for volunteers. This is an experience that provides a good opportunity for students looking for an organization to volunteer at, whether it be for own personal interest or as a resume booster.  

Terre Haute Salvation Army has been serving Vigo County for more than 125 years. The Salvation Army offers a number of different programs throughout the year. Volunteers are needed for are bell ringing, as well as a Substitute Front Desk Receptionist. The Salvation Army believes, “there is no way that we could do all that we do without our many dedicated volunteers. Whether you have two hours or two hundred hours to give, we would love to have you as part of our team. We can do the most good at working together.” 

Their mission statement is an international movement; it is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible and its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in the Lord’s name without any form of discrimination. The Salvation Army is open to all students for volunteering, regardless of religious affiliation.
