With the month of January comes the well-known intention of New Year’s Resolutions.
A new semester can mean a lot of things: new classes, new professors and new experiences. There is a lot to look forward to when there are a lot of things happening. This semester, challenge yourself to find new ways to get involved on campus.
The cold winter months are upon us and can make some people want to stay bundled up in their warm beds. But staying inside too much can have harmful effects on one’s health.

2020 — “New Year, new me:” a common phrase used for motivation when we make our New Year’s Resolutions. Then we try to follow them.
On Dec. 19, Tiarra Taylor stood tall and proud under the lights on the Miss America stage, representing not only the state of Indiana, but also Indiana State University.
I’ve daydreamed about graduating college since I was in middle school. From wondering what career path I would choose to what university I’d receive my diploma from, graduation always seemed like a date that would never seem near.
Looking for a stress-free break from finals? Looking to celebrate Christmas with family and friends? Come celebrate the Christmas spirit with Santa’s Circus! Indiana State will be putting on Santa’s Circus in Tirey Hall’s Tilson Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10. The magic of Christmas will come alive in this bright and jolly Christmas-themed family-friendly circus show.
On Friday, Dec. 6, Indiana State’s Union Board will be holding a “Winter Crafterland” for stressed out Sycamores in need of a break. The event will be held from 8-10 p.m. in Dede I, II, and III. Students will get the chance to make winter-themed crafts, such as canvas painting, wood and nail art, and mason jar painting.
The winter months are among us and it’s time to bundle up! Some are unable to stay warm in the low temperatures though because they don’t own the proper winter gear.
