Changes have been made to the registration system to reduce the amount of strain on the system on the first day of priority registration.
One of the main changes made is the Honor’s College will be registering at 7:00 a.m. instead of 6:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11th.
Another one of the main changes is that graduate students will have their own day to register on Tuesday, Nov. 12th.
“I’m glad the registration schedule changed because I remember being locked out a couple times as I was trying to register for my classes. There were just too many students trying to register at once,” said Honors College sophomore, Peyton Hochhalter.
The priority registration with new changes goes as follows: Monday, Nov. 11th at 6:30 a.m. Indiana State seniors and junior athletes will be able to register. On that same morning, the Honor’s College will be registering at 7:00 a.m.
On Tuesday, Nov. 12th, graduate students will register at 6:30 a.m.
Lastly, on Thursday, Nov. 14th at 6:30 a.m. junior students and sophomore athletes will register.
“This gets rid of the strain on the system so that everyone isn’t registering at the same time. Most of the change is to help the overload on the system and to hopefully prevent students from being locked out,” said Rebecca Rairdon, student worker for the Office of Registration and Records.
During past semesters, the priority registration schedule had large groups of people registering at the same time and this caused students to be locked out of their registration session.
The former schedule strained the system and it is hoped that this new schedule will ease some of this strain.
