The Indiana State women’s golf team will be traveling to Cookeville, Tennessee for the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate meet. It will start Sunday and conclude Tuesday.

At the Sycamores’ last meet, they placed in a tie for 40th place (out of a 53 teams) at the Kiawah Island Spring Classic in South Carolina. ISU posted a final score of 937 with round scores of 319, 308 and 310. 

ISU sophomore Lauren Green led the way in the last meet with a final round score of 74 after posting scores of 80 and 77 in the first two rounds. 

Looking into the season stats for the Sycamores, Lauren Green leads the team with an average of 76.8. Additionally, she has four top-five finishes, four top-10 finishes, and four top-20 finishes. 

Another Sycamore who has found success this season is senior Sierra Hargens. Her 78.1 average is second on the team. Furthermore, she has one top-five finish, one top-10 finish, and three top-20 finishes. 

Indiana State seniors Alex Jennings and Kayla Ryan have put together solid seasons as well. They each have one top-20 finish, and also boast similar averages (Jennings with 79.6 and Ryan with 79.7). 

The host school of this meet is Tennessee Tech. They also competed in the Kiawah Island Classic, finishing in a tie for 38th place. 

Tennessee Tech’s key players are sophomore Heidi Lawson, junior Hannah Bratton and senior Arianna Clemmer. 

Lawson’s average is 75.9. Moreover, she is the only Golden Eagle to have placed in at least the top-10. She has two top-five finishes, and two top-10 finishes. 

Bratton and Clemmer have posted similar averages this season. Bratton’s average is 77.7, and Clemmer’s average is 77.8. 

There are three more meets remaining (including Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate) until the MVC championships. One invitational will take place at the Country Club of Terre Haute in early April.
