Indiana State’s football team had four players on their team honored by the Missouri Valley conference yesterday. Inoke Moala, Dante Hendrix, JJ Henderson and Wyatt Hardwood were all honored as voted by the conference’s head coaches, SIDs, and media members.
Moala earned first-team all MVFC honors. Moala tied fore the conference lead in sacks and tackles for loss while adding six quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles. He finished with 13 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He also came out the gate with a two-sack performance in the season opener against Eastern Illinois.
Moala is from Mishawka, IN. and his younger brother is a safety at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.
Dante Hendrix earned honorable mention after having to recover from an injury last season. He racked up 37 catches from 395 yards and three touchdowns this season. He enjoyed his first 100-yard game against Missouri State when he enjoyed 10 catches for 121 yards.
Hendrix is from Florence, KY. And is a Management major.
JJ Henderson is a defensive back for the Sycamores who earned honorable mention honors as well. Henderson earned Defensive player of the week on October 24 this season. He finished third in the conference in pass breakups with 12. He was fifth in the conference in interceptions with 3.
Henderson is from Tampa, FL, but is a Stetson transfer. He assumed the starting role since he has arrived in Terre Haute and has not disappointed.
Hardwood earned all-conference for the first time in his career. He has played in 44 games at ISU and added an important two-point conversion in ISU’s season finale.
Hardwood is from Vail, CO and is a biology major.
