2020-21 Indiana Statesman Staff

Brea Haller is the editor-in-chief of the Indiana Statesman. She is a junior communication major with an emphasis on journalism and public relations and a minor in creative writing. She has been working for the Statesman since her freshman year, starting as a news and features reporter. She is a member of Sigma Kappa sorority and the Society of Professional Journalists. Her aspirations include being a traveling content writer and/or a magazine editor.

Laura is a junior majoring in English with a minor in creative writing, who has worked with the Indiana Statesman since her sophomore year at Indiana State — first as a reporter and now as news editor. She has had poetry published in ISU's Creative Writing Society's annual newsletter “Allusions” and hopes to get more poetry and fiction work published after graduation. In her free time, she writes poetry and fiction, listens to ’60s/’70s classic rock, and hangs out with her boyfriend.

Garrett is photo editor for the Indiana Statesman. He is a junior majoring in graphic design. He worked for the Statesman as a layout designer and photographer before being named photo editor. He hopes to use his degree to become a full-time photographer for sports such as NASCAR, the NFL, the MLB, and even the NBA.

Dane is sports editor at the Indiana Statesman. He is a senior studying communication with a focus in media studies and certifying in language studies with a focus in German. Outside of work at the Indiana Statesman, he is a deejay for WZIS at ISU. He has a passion for anything nerdy, especially video games and books. His goal is to move to Europe and work in media editing and publishing and possibly pursue a master’s and doctorate in media publishing.

Samantha Moore is the opinions editor at the Indiana Statesman. She is a senior double majoring in criminal justice and legal studies. After she graduates in May, she will be attending the University of Dayton School of Law. Outside of the Statesman, she is involved in Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and she works as an Academic Success Educator for Residential Life and as a Teaching Assistant for the Political Science Department. She hopes everyone enjoys reading the Statesman!

Nicole Nunez is the features editor of the Indiana Statesman. She is a junior studying elementary education with minors in reading and creative writing. This is her third year working for the Indiana Statesman and her first year as features editor. During the first semester of her sophomore year, she did an internship at Disneyworld and wrote about her experiences for the Statesman. She enjoys ’80s music, writing short stories, and eating cereal.
