Over the past several months, students and staff in Student Media have been working to develop a collection of websites to showcase the work we do and the people who make it happen. We also have worked to make it easier for you to use our websites, whether from your desktop or your mobile device.

Rachel Wedding McClelland will be sorely missed by many students and fellow staff after she moves from Indiana State to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Click here for the full story.
The 13th Annual Sycamore Video Expo was held on Thursday, April 24th, 2014
Melissa Crash has accepted a full-time position as a Multi-Media Journalist at WTWO/WAWV-TV in Terre Haute, IN. These are NBC and ABC affiliate commercial broadcast stations owned by Nexstar Broadcasting. Melissa will be responsible for filming, editing, writing, and reporting as a "one man band." Melissa is excited to begin her career and report in the Wabash Valley.
De Graaf presented in several media classes and met with students associated with Sycamore Video, the ISU student video production group. In the evening, de Graaf introduced “The Great Vacation Squeeze,” a 30-minute production for public television, and talked about the work. The video, featuring interviews with travel writer Rick Steves and others and filmed primarily at Yosemite National Park, argues for the importance of taking vacations and examines U.S. and European vacation practices.
WISU received 2 Indiana Association of Student Broadcaster Awards on March 17. Out of 200+ entries from ten schools around the state of Indiana, Indiana State University’s campus station won a first and third place award. WISU’s Promotions Director, Jon Faust, came in first place for Radio Interview, where he spoke with The Forest's leader, Tommy Lynch. Sports Director Kurt Darling and News Director Julianne Mackey placed third for Radio News Report. The audio covered Larry Bird's Scholarship Dinner and Statue Dedication at the Hulman Center. This is Kurt Darling’s 3rd award in two years.
Indiana State University senior Julian Winborn, a columnist for the Indiana Statesman, has won first prize for his contest entry submitted to Press the President, an online collaborative blog.
Three students involved in Student Media programs received scholarships in November from the Department of Communication at Indiana State.
Rachel McClelland, director of Student Publications, was named an Honor Roll Adviser of the Year by the College Media Association. More >
