Two students from WZIS won Best Event Promo from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) for their work on an event promotion.
WZIS, Indiana State’s student radio station and its students are finalists for eight national awards by the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) including Best College Radio Station for a campus with over 10,000 students.

Tiarra Taylor’s journey to the Miss America Organization pageant began at ISU last year when she was named Miss ISU 2019. Her next stop was the Miss Indiana program in summer 2019, when she brought home the crown and began representing the program throughout Indiana.

- Congratulations to Indiana State Men's Basketball's sophomore center Tre Williams on being named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Defensive Team. The Reynoldsburg, Ohio native anchored the Sycamores' defense, leading the league in both total blocked shots (34) and blocks per game (1.5). Check out some of his top defensive highlights from the Hulman Center this season.
- Congratulations to Indiana State Men's Basketball's sophomore forward Jake Laravia on being named to the All Missouri Valley Conference Second Team. One of the more versatile players in the league, the Indianapolis native finished third in the league in both steals (1.5) and offensive rebounds per game (2.4), eighth in both rebounds (6.1) and blocks per game (0.8), and 13th in scoring average (12.5).
