SPECTRUM hosted a walkout at the fountain on Indiana State University’s campus Friday. The walkout lasted from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in order to raise awareness against anti-LGBTQ+ legislation raised in 2022, and was part of walkouts being hosted across the United States.
On November 16, 2021, an event was held in HMSU called “Where is the A in LGBTQ+?”. The half-hour presentation was hosted by Dr. Aryn Long and presented by Lyric Utterback.
Thursday, Dr. Yunjung Lee was the conductor for the Indiana State University School of Music’s Symphony Orchestra. At the Tilson Auditorium in Tirey Hall, students gathered to create an amazing assortment of music, starting with the Brandenburg Concerto No.3 in G major.
The College Basketball season is almost upon us and with the new season comes the team exhibition events. The Indiana State Sycamores had their sycamore showcase on Monday and the event was filled with segments that showed off both the men's and women's basketball teams. The event contained a men's and women's three-point contest, dunk contest, free throw contest, $10,000 half-court shot challenge, and a raffle.
Indiana State University’s Lingua Franca House hosted the Mini World Cup on Thursday at Kennedy Field. The soccer game ran from 5:00 to 7:00 in the evening and was attended by various students and faculty from the Languages, Literature, and Linguistics (LLL) department at ISU.
Tuesday was the Indiana State University Honors College annual picnic at Wolf Field. The event consisted of free food, games, and allowing Honors College students to get to know their fellow students and Honors College faculty.
